How we work

Design

We create a design idea based on your colours, logo and any other design elements you need, and provide a sample page so you can see it. Any changes can be made at this stage.

When you're satisfied with the design, we start building the site. We'll check that you're 100% happy first, because changes to the design after it's agreed will cost extra.

Build

We build the site and ask you to supply the text and information for it. When everything is in place, the website is made live.

If your site is an ecommerce site, we'll show you how to add pages and products. We can add them for you for an additional fee, but it's simple enough that most people prefer to do it themselves.

Payments

To confirm: Payment stages, and when ecommerce sites are paid for (the current terms say “on day of training”).

Monthly maintenance and support

This covers:

• Hosting your website
• Email, with up to 5 email addresses
• Updates to text and existing images on the site, whenever you need them
• Monitoring for security breaches
• Keeping the site's add-ons up to date
• Support when something goes wrong: “you make a mistake and we will help fix it”
• A weekly backup of the main files that make up your website

New pages, design changes and extra images aren't covered by the monthly fee. If you download email to a computer, we recommend backing it up regularly.

The monthly fee is payable only for as long as you need the website. It's paid by standing order, which you control. If invoices aren't paid and requests for payment are ignored, we may remove the website and stop email services.

Cancelling maintenance and support

• Tell us in writing 30 days before you want to finish.
• Stop your standing order. We have no control over it, so it's your responsibility to make sure it's cancelled: no refunds are given if it isn't.
